I was more into this than the first one, though I do have some quibbles. This series so far has a LOT of "alpha male claiming a woman as his own," which I think is mostly a symptom of the genre, but it bothers me a bit. Still mostly liked it, though.

Very meh for my tastes. The stakes weren't that high, so I found myself reading this very slow cause I just could not bring myself to care. But it was very well written, and a very standard romance. There's a lot of assumption that happens in terms of relationship dynamics instead of actual relational conversations. I know it's fiction, I know it really doesn't matter cause they end up together, but honestly it takes away the romance for me when the knots "just work out" and real conversation doesn't happen because the characters "just know." Idk. It's a good romance if you're not looking for anything complicated.

3.5⭐️ I love this world so much. The actual romance was just okay imo but the world/plot building was top tier.

I still really like the world Singh has built, but this couple just did not do it for me, I guess. It also seemed like there was more couple and less world-building than it the first one. I'll still read the next one though.

I just can’t with this world-building. If there is one thing Nalini excels at (though let’s be honest, she excels at everything) its world-building. Vaughn and Faith’s book gives us a more detailed look into the Psy council, the Psy-net, and of course, the amazing secondary characters.

didn't quite enjoy it as much as i did the first book and i wasn't as invested in vaughn/faith as i was lucas/sascha but i still enjoyed it quite a bit and i'm really into this world singh has created so i'm looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.

If you check out my review for the previous book you'll see I said it would take me a while to read this one. Turns out a while means a day. These books are so good I just can't help myself.
Faith and Vaughn were amazing main characters tho I have to say I enjoyed reading about Sascha and Lucas just a wee bit more. Still, I really liked the F-Psy aspect of this book and the visions and how we got to learn more about this world Nalini Singh created.
I'm excited to read the next book in the series tho I can't say my wallet feels the same way.
