RAHHHH!!!! This was SO GOOD! Added to my short list of historical romances I will never shut up about.

Minerva and Colin fake their engagement and leave Spindle Cove in order to get Minerva to Scotland for a geology symposium because she has discovered proof of 'dragons' (probably dinosaurs) and wants to present her findings. Along the way Colin continually makes up outlandish stories about who they are to anyone they meet, all to varying degrees of success, and thus shenanigans ensue. 

This is a must read for any historical romance fan, and even if you just want a silly fun romance - I highly recommend it!

I always enjoy this series more than I think I will! Particularly enjoyed the shenanigans in this one as Colin and Minerva assume a variety of identities on the road.

This was absolutely adorable.

I was so close to DNFing at the start, when Colin was spouting fake love to Minerva when he had just come from bed with another woman, who was still there and laughed. However, I'm so glad I pushed through.

This book was hilarious, a little whimsical/bonkers, and, to top it all off, wonderfully sweet. I adored that it wasn't "I knew all along," but instead there was gentle learning and falling in love. There was no love at first sex, but little moments that tied them together. And the banter was amazing - it really left me smiling and feeling giddy.

Sooo sweet. I think Colin might be my fav historical romance hero. Maybe. And Minerva was so gorgeous. I loved how interested she was in learning about everything. And I mean everything. From rocks to cocks.

While this book had a fun plot the romance did fall flat. I was hoping for more passion and chemistry between Minerva and Colin. I was left wanting more despite enjoying the story so I am rating it a 3.25 stars.

Hilarious and delightful.  My favorite Dare novel, so far.  I still have several more Spindle Cove books to read, but I don’t see how this can be topped.  Dare’s romances are always funny, usually with a couple of scenes that really tickle my funny bone.  A Week to be Wicked had me chuckling the whole way through.  Excellent banter and chemistry between the two MCs.  I’m glad I didn’t try to binge this series.  I have to be in the right mood for Dare’s particular style of storytelling, and it’s nice to have a pile of her unread books to turn to when that mood strikes.
