Cute and clever way to travel back to prehistoric times. Great use of story to introduce dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. Excellent use of "that looks like" to link known animals to prehistoric animals. The color and textures of the images were delightful and brilliant.

This is another wonderful book in the series of books that teach kids about things, while telling a cute story of a puppy and a squirrel as they explore prehistoric times. The last book had them taking a flight to the Savana. This time, they get in their cardboard box, and go to prehistoric times where they meet dinasuars from all the different eras. They even point out that not all these things were alive at the same time.
Very informative, and fun to read.

With a fun comedic style, Chipper and Squizzo crash land and meet prehistoric animals and a cro-magnon boy. The book (happily) does point out that they were not alive at the same time. The book ends with some history and evolution of this era. Great for kids who like action and adventure. At the start, the images are less refined and get more so through the book. The full-color drawings by Federico Bertolucci, are wonderful and engaging; some of them almost feel like photo by the time the reader gets to the end. Translation by Mike Kennedy. Thanks to NetGalley for providing this ebook for review.

This book starts out with Chipper being woken up to go on an adventure with his friend. The pictures start out bland, then slowly becomes more colorful and vibrant as the book goes on. Encouraging children who read the book to keep going until the end.
Chipper and his pal go back in time to when the dinosaurs roamed. They learn all about what life was like before the dinosaurs became extinct. Perfect for the little boy or girl who is obsessed with all things dinosaurs.
Told in comic style, this book is super easy to read and has a great story line to go with it with lovable characters as well. The fact that it's informative as well as a fun read is the icing on the cake.

A story told by cartoon with with illustrations of dinosaurs. I love this series. They take a serious, and funny look at prehistory. All in the guise of a time traveling cat and dog, who just want to make it to the volcano so they can somehow get home. They meet lots of strange creatures along the way, and even some ancient people. A great series for kids of all ages.

This book was awesome! It gives a great intro to prehistory, talks about dinosaurs, explains how life evolved from the ocean, what more can I ask? The best part is how it can engage the little reader with a story and good art. Highly recommended for children (and adults who are young at heart). Thanks to the publisher for the ARC.
