I found this book at my local library.  Realizing I had never read anything else of hers than "The Lottery", I decided to check it out.  Obviously, this isn't her classic work.  Much of the book is bits and pieces of unpublished work.  There is no indication that she tried to publish any of it.  Some were good and others were obviously just a start to an idea.  The following section included her stories published in magazines but never gathered together in a book.  These were better.  The best of the work is found at the very end.  These are polished lectures on the art of writing.  

In spite of my relatively low rating, I plan to read more of her books.
