okay so… Im damn happy i finally finished this one. let’s see. reading a book in the calloway universe always has a feeling to it. i love banks, thats a fact. and…. that’s all. i still couldnt really get fond of sulli or akara, im sorry. still mad their books lasted longer than cobaretti’s. onward to lunnelly finally
i lost count of how many times i cried. the way lily treats sulli
sullivan meadows and akara kitsuwon and banks moretti
another book that i cried, another instant 5 star (sulli and thatcher, you destroyed me in *that* scene)
it was a good ending to this triad, although i’m still more attached to the other couples, this was a nice change of scenery!
also, props to reading about sulli in the olympics while i’m watching the 2024 olympics. if was AMAZING
aaaand sulli’s relationship with lily and lo was SO SWEET.
i love my lilo parents forever.
Jeez, they’re tall. I don’t really care to be the same height as them. Tower over me. Protect me. Please, always love me. No matter where we go from here.

“Hey.” A familiar, sharp-edged voice cuts into the crowd. “Can you guys make some room? Jesus, this isn’t a midnight Avengers release. We all don’t need to be dead-stopping on the staircase.” Loren Hale. “Fucking move,” Ryke Meadows adds.
-
“You’re here because you were born to swim. And you, more than anyone, should know you can love more than one thing without severing that love into pieces.” I let that wash over me, and his words lift me and my spirits. I am filled with more love than four years ago. That should propel me further, not hold me back.

Eliot is studying Winnifred Rochester like she’s a theatre partner he hasn’t quite figured out yet. Like he might need to rehearse ten more scenes, ten more times, to truly understand, and the longer he stares, the more his gaze reddens. Is he conflicted? Upset?

Akara blinks a ton before he has to use his shirt to wipe his face. “That’s our Sulli!” I cup my hands over my mouth and shout, “Hot damn!” Sulli laughs into a bigger, happier, more overwhelmed smile. God, knock me over. That smile is an arrow piercing through my heart. I’m fucking done for.
-
“My uncle, he gave me this…” She digs in her jean’s pocket. “He said he never used them, but he thought it’s something I’d like since I keep chasing after medals.” She produces a green coin, a little bigger than a quarter. “For being two months sober.” Sulli passes me the coin. My thumb runs over the 2 Months Recovery engraving,

Welcome to the family. It’s messy. But you already knew that and wanted in anyway. Either you’re nuts or you must really love my niece. Either way, you’ll fit in. Treat her well or there’ll be hell to pay. Hugs, kisses, love & light & all that shit. Sulli’s favorite uncle, Loren Hale P.S. Banks, thanks for looking out for my son all those years. I don’t think I said that enough.

Ryke finally says, “Whatever you need from me, whether it’s support or just to be a grandparent—I’m fucking there. For her. For both of you. For all fucking three of you.” “Four,” Winona corrects, adding our baby. “Four,” Ryke says strongly. Pride fills Daisy’s eyes for Ryke.
-
“My friend isn’t just in that car. He’s in the mountains. He’s in the sky. Every time you climb. Every time I climb. Every time you reach a summit. He can feel that.” Sulli wipes away her tears. “I still want to keep looking, Dad. I’m not giving up.” “Then we won’t fucking give up.” Ryke gives her a hug.
-
“Your dad and I, we wanted you to have a choice. To choose whether you could be public or private. I’ll always be happy that I gave you that choice, and we were so lucky we could let you choose. My sister knew her kids would be in the public eye, no matter what she did.” “Aunt Lily?” I sniff hard, holding back tears. “Maximoff and Luna.” “Xander, Kinney,” my mom finishes. “Lily and Lo raised some great kids, Sulli. Don’t you think?”
-
“You always have Lily,” she says softly. “My sister will always understand what you’re facing. Her fame was about as soul-crushing as yours right now. She had Moffy, then Luna.” “Xander,” I finally mutter, the weight of his name hanging in the air. “He’s getting better. It gets better.”
“I just wanted to be like you,” I say, choked on the words. Tears well up in her eyes. “I love my sister to the moon and back. It gives me extraordinary joy to know you’ll raise your kids like her. She is my fairy, you know. Magical creatures like fairies need belief to exist. I believe in her every single day I’m breathing, and I’ll always believe in you. My strong, daring mer-daughter who lives in the sea.”
-
“You can do anything. Just take every day as it comes,” Lily reminds me. “One day at a time, one step at a time.” Uncle Lo told me the same thing, when I confided in him about wanting to be sober. One day at a time. One step at a time. To Aunt Lily, I say strongly, “I think I can do that.”
-
“That fear is pretty normal.” She breaks off another piece for me, thinking. “I was always afraid of our kids being damaged like us, but I never imagined any of you would be infamous like us.”
“Good, because I’m going to raise my kids just like you.” I say this proudly, fucking happily. “Like me?” My aunt breaks down with emotional tears because she’s rarely first draft pick or considered a role model to the world—but she’s become mine. She drops her churro. I nod, wiping my wet cheeks. “Just like you.”

He holds Blue’s little hand, and he whispers very quietly, “I’m your big brother, Blue. I’ll always take care of you.” He talks on about showing Blue his toy cars and playing with his cousins, and how much fun they’ll have together—and there isn’t a dry eye between the three of us. We’re all crying. Brotherhood—it’s a powerful thing. They know that well.

I love this trio so much. I’m a little sad that I won’t get to read about them anymore, but I’m glad I got to read about such a well written poly relationship.

Kitsulleti was fun.
This book is pure comedy. There was no growth, her boyfriend’s are the most bland characters I have ever read about, and sulli is still her self centered self. I still cannot believe she is daisy’s daughter. This book was soo unnecessary, 600 pages of nothing. The main characters are just so unlikeable that you can’t even enjoy the good parts. Charlie calling her a coward was my highlight! Thank god I am done with her books and I just hope that kbr don’t mess up Luna’s book because I honestly did not recognize their writing in the last 3 books, because it was so bad.
medium-paced
There was a section where and I actually was interested in the plot for a second. The book would have been hundreds of times more interesting if
