Rowena has been in love or so she thought with Lachlan for her entire life and has been dogging him pretty much that entire time. Lachlan however only sees her as a more of a sister, then she runs away to London and after a few weeks stops writing to him every day and that makes him uncomfortable for some unknown reason and when she comes back home for her brothers wedding bringing a dozen or so English with her and he finally tells her they'll never be a thing, she laughs at him and says ok, she has better things to focus on now.
It gets very insulty and rude for a few days till his jealousy makes him snap and kiss her and she slaps him and things get more entertaining from there.
So far this is my fave in the series, we'll see if book 4 can dethrone it or not....

Some good moments but overall it didn't really do it for me. That being said, I'm glad Rowena was able to handle/deal with things in the last few chapters.

I got 31% through, which was quite a feat because I was falling asleep half the time. The best part of this book is the title.

I did enjoy this, but the first half was the two of them bickering back and forth. It got a bit old, but overall this was still very good! When they got on the same page, it became much more enjoyable.  On to Bear's story!!!!

I have read the first two books in the series, The Devil Wear's Kilts and Rogue with a Brogue. This one takes her talent as a writer to new heights. I have been waiting for Lachlan McTier to get his comeuppance and this is it!

I celebrated Rowena’s feisty attitude and determination to make her own way in spite of the wishes (demands) of her brothers. And when she returns after her season in London…she’s not the same little girl that left. Even better Lachlan’s feelings even take him by surprise. I think men can really be dense and a horse’s behind sometimes…Lachlan is both. So this story felt like I was getting reacquainted with old friends and learning more about them. I loved both characters, and I thought I knew exactly how their story was going to play out. The end result was the same but getting there was so much more enjoyable than I imagined.

The background characters particularly the brothers were awesome. I have several big brothers so I definitely saw some of them in the antics of Rowena’s brothers. They weren’t going to let Lachlan just decide he wanted Rowena. They made him prove his worth and his love for her.

I encourage readers to read the previous 2 books, but I think this story can be enjoyed as a standalone.

This was a fun entertaining read. The title alone makes me smile. I wish the mc’s felt more 3d. As it stands I don’t know why he changed his mind about her and what they’re going to do with a lifetime together. I also wish I knew who she is in the present day and what experiences she had to change her in London bc apparently she changed so much and that was all they talked about for her character. I’m not the biggest fan of the fmc pining forever for a man who belatedly returns her feelings but it was a fun time. A competition for love and a kidnapping will do that.
