Why am I hesitant to read a M.Sinclair book when they always surprise me amd being so much better than expected. This one, like «perfection of suffering» had a slow start that made me not pick it up, but once I did and got past those first few (world building) chapters, I fell in love with the characters and their relationship. I love Saint and Blackwell (but how do you not love Death and Hades’s son?!)
Can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Not your average nightmares
I had seen this book hyped for weeks before release so I gave in and preordered it figuring I'd give it a try. I knew of Sinclair before, but haven't read any of her books. That is going to change.
This book is perfection. Arabella and her Nightmares are such amazing characters. This whole world is amazing. Yes, it's a little dark, but darkness is a good thing.

Interesting concept
I'm a sucker for villain or a "monster" as the hero. This book did very well in bringing those types of characters. We spent a lot of time with character establishment, hopefully the next book will deal more with conflict.Im hoping the heroine will be a little less Mary Sue like. She's not fantastic at everything, but the devotion of the monsters makes it a fine line.
And I'm just here for the monsters.

The story concept of this book is so intriguing. Humans and nightmares. Arabella is an admirable main female character who knows how to command a room even with her small physical stature. The attraction between her and the nightmares is obvious, and the more the guys fought against their connection with her, the more intense it became. I am very interested in reading the next book to see where Arabella and her nightmares take us next.

I think I've read this book 3 times now
This is one of my all time favorite paranormal RH series. It has a unique plot, an extremely loveable female lead and devoted, yet psycho men that love her, hot sex scenes and no editing errors.

This definitely isn’t the worst book I’ve read and it honestly had potential.
Pro: it had a really interesting premise. Humans found out that nightmares were real and predictably… hated them. In the background of all the pining in this book there is a civil war occurring. If this was expanded upon a bit more I think it could’ve been really interesting.
Con: all of the MLs basically melded into one. There were literally 6 or 7 guys and they all had the same thoughts in their POV, there was literally no differentiating factors. Saint and Cy were about the only ones that were slightly different.
Speaking of the ML POV, I got pretty sick of every one of their chapters being full of how ‘hard’ they were for FL. That they were so horny for her but couldn’t act upon it because they were scared of F*cking her so hard they would literally

I love the story, but omg, stop monologuing!!! It's too much all the time. Also, I can't picture any of the guys or tell them apart as I'm reading them. Still hot
