A fun quick read! No matter how many times I cringed at her decisions I still loved Ramona and would love to read more books with her as the main character.

This book likely especially appeals to moms, and it’s refreshing to have a quick fun read not be only about falling in love.

This book has been on my TBR list for over 1 year, and I am so glad I finally read it. It is the story of Ramona, a frazzled mom, working in a tech biz with a bunch of young co-workers, and a husband who is busy with his roofing biz. She is trying to make ends meet and keep it all together when a Cat 4 hurricane is bearing down on Savannah. She is flip-flopping on whether or not to evacuate, and what to do about her mom who lives nearby.
At times, this was laugh-out-loud funny, with some great lines. At other times, I wanted to cry for Ramona and all the things she was coping with in her life. You will root for her!

3.5 stars rounded down, this was a fun and quirky story. I like how it shined a light on how women are expected to “do it all” from raising humans, working, keeping the house, & all the other details.

Our MC is a mom in her late thirties trying to juggle everything, work, kids, husband, & life all while a hurricane is headed their way & she just found out her husband has been cheating on her.

I had a few issues with the book which lowered my overall rating. 1. I don’t think it’s safe to write a book about a person ignoring the warnings to evacuate your home during a natural disaster. Ramona not only delays leaving, but also re-enters the evacuation zone with her children. 2. I did not understand how Prince was tied to her life. I know she was a big fan (Same) but idk how his death led to some of these things happening to her.

Overall, this was a fun read, I enjoyed my time with it & the audiobook was well done!
