Been working on going through Newbery books lately. This was a nice little fantasy novel. Very enjoyable characters.

A clever, inspiring children's story that has stayed with me for years.

Re-reading a childhood favorite, and I just adored the jaunt back down memory lane. Such a fun read, every bit as good as I remembered it being.

I read this in fifth grade, and it was one of the only books I enjoyed reading for school. I remembered very little about it, except a few weird images and that I really liked it. And it held up when I reread it more than 10 years later.

Eh. Maybe a 2.5 or 2.75 stars. This is something I would have probably loved in middle school, but it didn't do much for me now. I think my kids would like it in a few years though! It wasn't bad, but it didn't hold my attention.
