This one didn’t work for me. Imaginative world and characters, but the relationship-rush bits were just too fast.
Folks who don’t follow my reviews, if someone wrote and published a book that doesn’t hit any of my hot buttons - it gets four stars. Generally there are others who love it and I don’t need to rain on their parade. Holiday stories are often a bit less than the author’s normal fare and this was.

This entire series has been the most fun I've had reading this year. I totally recommend.

Awesome
As always, I loved the main characters and the world building involved with the series! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

I really liked Miriah. She had no problems telling a Divine where he could stuff his marriage proposal once she found out about the other 5 kids he had with 5 different women. Problem ... he cursed her to shift into a Karma Chameleon when she encounters someone she likes. She's been dealing with this for years. Her latest trigger, Chase Butler, has hired her to go through his books and find the root of discrepancies he's discovered.
What a wild ride this book was. I adore how Chase is with Miriah in either form she's in.

I'm going to admit I took an entire star because the use of the term Daddy in a sexual manner skeeves me out that much. I find it downright gross.
My biggest thing here is I'm not exactly sure when they went from boss and borrowed employee to dating. Like it's almost like she and his parents decided for him that he would date her. It went from her having a crush that only Tiana and Gavin knew about, to his parents making jokes about a future wedding to her permanently moving in. He was never actually asked his opinion and he didn't actually ask her anything until the end of the book. Also the emphasis on his money bothered me a bit. Like I mean it's great he has money and all but it was listed off as an attribute in the way someone would say a person has nice eyes or a great personality. Rich shouldn't count that much in choosing a partner. Additionally with her being a single parent it seriously bothered me how much she rushed this relationship. I mean they were together like a month and most of that wasn't dating. As a former single mom myself I don't have a lot of respect for quickly introducing new men into a child's life.
I liked a lot of this story, including the characters but some things about it did bother me. Overall though I'd still recommend it.
