I absolutely loved this collection of poetry. Wilson is a tremendously talented poet and her subject matter is wide-ranging and completely absorbing. Many of the poems are very witty and there's a real sense of joy in language on display here.

My favourite poems were:
- The Specifics of Shipwrecks;
- Lear Jet;
- Rapunzel's Hair: Some other uses; and
- Vesuvian Dog
All the poems had a fabulous rhythm and sound great when read out loud.
I must admit that a lot of the poems went right over my head though. There were references to famous artworks, classical mythology and literary characters that I couldn't always follow.
