So so good. I'm not one for gross things and was fully ready to DNF if it got too bed, but it really wasn't. The grossest part was the first scene. Everything after that was fairly tame, just blood and vomit. The cannibalism was 2 parts in the same setting. One was hilarious and one was just kinda gross but not obscene.

This book was way better than I expected. Love the MCs. Can't wait to read the next book ❤️

This book was not for me, but I kind of assumed that before starting it. It's an easy read, with an uncomplicated writing style. There wasn't much development - in either the story or the character. But I get the feeling that wasn't the goal in the first place. The plot twists were too easily guessed (mostly due to the 3 minutes long trigger warning on the audiobook). If you want a campy, Dexter meets Batman vibe, then this is for you.

This was a fun, spicy read. Nothing groundbreaking and I wouldn’t read it again but I enjoyed myself. I would have given it 3.5 stars, but
I found Rowan’s speech to get Sloane to leave.l was WAY over the top. I mean he could have picked a fight to get her out of there, but to say “go back to Raleigh oh and also you’re unlovable” was so unnecessary and out of character.

Whoever says romance is dead clearly did not read this book.  This was way cuter than I was expecting.  Who knew a story about killing other serial killers would be so funny and wholesome.  Rowan was such an iconic character, he was so unserious and I loved it so much.

This book was an addicting read with a fun plot and complex characters, a bit of spice nearing the end and of course there was nice banter between the main characters.  Rowan and Solane were adorable and definitely perfect for each other.  The note in the eye socket was so fitting for them and I loved how well that scene went.

I highly recommend this to anyone who likes cookies and cream ice cream, always check the ingredients first though 🥰

2.5 ⭐️ - I knew this book had mixed reviews and I was curious where I would land on it. I liked the first half of the book but the 🌶️ scenes in the second half were too much. The gore was a lot too but not as bad as I was expecting. The leading characters’ love interest just seemed like they only liked each other because they were hot and had the same twisted “hobby.” I did think the audio was well done and hearing Rowan’s accent was 🤌🏻
