Valentine's Day is coming up. What better book to get into the lovey-dovey mindset than serial killers who kill serial killers, and fall in love?
The FOMO was real with this one, and I am so glad I went with it.
Absolutely loved the story of Rowan (Butcher) and Sloane (Blackbird) - the dark humour, gore, romance and hella spice was on task.
If you haven't seen the warnings for this one, I have them posted on the next photo.
So in summary, if you're apt to clutch your pearls, Butcher & Blackbird is likely not for you.
I, however, am counting the days until the next in the trilogy (Leather & Lark) comes out in June!
 Five stars and recommended!

Well, I must say the hype was well deserved for this one!

I was thoroughly entertained and enjoyed the slow burn relationship that took years (actual years!).

Was a bit apprehensive about the cannibalism TW, but I must say it was done…tastefully ;) and the comedic tilt certainly helped!

This storyline really confused me. Smut was top tier though.
Rowan’s got a dirty mouth😳

I mostly liked the narration but at times was a bit over-acted 😂

The story was entertaining and well-paced but nothing special. The romance was interesting - with the serial killer element - but quite superficial

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. I actually listened to the audiobook and the production is the best I've ever heard. The narrators are incredible and they actually voice every piece of their character's dialogue regardless of who's POV it is.
As far as the story itself, in an oversaturated market this book STANDS OUT. It is a unique plot, with well defined characters who still have room for growth.  I can't wait to read the second book!
