I did not like it AT ALL. It was supposed to be a comedy, dark, but a comedy. It didn't make me laugh, it didn't make me feel anything but disgust. I struggled to finish it, and I skipped some parts because I couldn't stand how awful they were. Pay attention and read the trigger warnings. I discovered that I have limits and they are all in this book. NOT FOR ME.

Fast, fun, and easy read. The trigger warnings freaked me out originally, but it was so much fun and hard to put down! I really enjoyed Sloane and Rowan, and the serial killer aspect was an interesting twist on things. This book had far more plot than I expected (and appreciated). I also was glad they didn’t start doing it until far into the book. Their banter was too good to lose for some sex scenes. Very intrigued about the next book! 3.5 stars for a fun, steamy, bloody read.

Loved every torturous moment of this masterpiece. This entire thing is a masterpiece. I love Sloane and her aesthetic of murder is so glamorous. Rowan is a romantic idiot with some communication issues with the woman he's been pining after for 4 years and change and idolised long before. Lark is a great friend and gold star titties is such a confidence boost. I didn't even mind the gory murders and cannibalism. Was very shocked by that plot twist though I really should have seen it coming.

If you have the option, listen to the audiobook. Both narrators did a fantastic job and had me laughing throughout.

So so good. I'm not one for gross things and was fully ready to DNF if it got too bed, but it really wasn't. The grossest part was the first scene. Everything after that was fairly tame, just blood and vomit. The cannibalism was 2 parts in the same setting. One was hilarious and one was just kinda gross but not obscene.

This book was way better than I expected. Love the MCs. Can't wait to read the next book ❤️

This book is plain bad. The characters act like teenagers, they talk like teenagers, and they have the common sense of teenagers. Sloane and her twenty-three year old under developed frontal lobe miraculously hasn’t gotten her serial killer self caught even though she is the least careful person in the fucking world and Rowan - with his dick for brains - isn’t that fucking far behind her.

I couldn’t even enjoy the homage to Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Thomas Harris’ Hannibal Lecter because they were so poorly executed.

The miracle is that I finished this book. I hate read this book  in the hopes of reaching a satisfying conclusion or that someone would make one fucking intelligent decision.

Everything that happens in the plot is so freaking convenient for these two it’s laughable. Some of the writing is just laughable as well. I’m no stranger to the gross, gore, and the transgressive, but trying to make this shit cutesy is places was just plain dumb. (Who labels the ingredients on their own homemade ice cream? Complete with bodily fluids? When they are a cannibal serial killer who has no interest in getting caught?) (Who uses someone’s dead mother a la Norman Bates to give a killer a heart attack and scare them to death? Wtf? That was so fucking idiotic d it wasn’t even satire)

I might read the second book in hopes that Rose or Lark will show up again, because they were the only two remotely interesting characters.
