Hello everyone! My review series on "Behind the Count" is up on my Instagram book account @bookwhoreforever! I hope you guys enjoy it!

First and foremost, I LOVE NOAH AND SHANNON. It's so obvious how they are literally meant for each other and the way Kimberly writes their development is amazing! My favorite thing about this is how mature they are in situations facing their relationships. In most college books, the relationship problems are mostly from childish behaviors, however Shannon and Noah both deal with real-life problems. Also, Shannon is such a likable heroine, that I could probably just read a book with only her and not Noah lmao. She's very strong and strives for independence which is so crucial. Noah is also the book boyfriends of all book boyfriends! I mean someone just knows when you're in danger?! MAJOR SWOON!
Also, as usual, Kimberly does not miss with the secondary characters, I was so enthralled in hearing Dalton's backstory as for Garretts and the little girl! It was also nice to see Braxton and Cara again even though Braxton was a mini protagonist in the story (MINI protagonist...we still love him).
Overall, I definitely recommend reading this book! The plot was written beautifully and the characters are all such a delight.

I love you all! -Bookwhoreforever

I hate giving not so great reviews on an arc. But I just have to. This book is just about everything I hate about friends to lovers books. We knew in book one that these two were going to be a pairing. I was all about that during that book. But their story fell so flat for me.

Timelines didn't add up either at times and that's a pet peeve of mine. I'm happy to know I was correct about another character so there was that and truth be told I only stayed with the book to see if my suspicions from book 1 were correct. It was but I finished the book anyway, looking for clues about THAT couple, which I'm sure will get their own book but I can't say I'll read it sadly.

ARC provided by author for honest review. Sorry, but this wasn't my jam.

Noah and Shannon have known each other all their lives, he’s her brother’s best friends and she is the younger sister that wants what she shouldn’t, Noah. The tension between these two ride high as they try to navigate their emotions and chemistry. They know they shouldn’t act on these feelings because relationships will be put to a test and if things don’t work out how will it affect everyone around them. Not only is the chemistry between them strong but they both have issues that make them question if a future would be possible. This is a new to me author and I loved this read and will definitely be checking more out.

Be still my heart. This book is amazing. Noah is my favorite book boyfriend from a Kimberly Readnour book. He's sweet and conflicted, the perfect combo. I adore a good brother's best friend story and this is one of the best.
Now I need the next book!!

I've been slowly making my way through this series and I'm enjoying it so much.

I was really excited for this one as it is a brother's best friend / friend to lovers romance. And of course the brother is Braxton from book 1, who is an overprotective alpha-hole, so I knew this was gonna be so so good.

Noah and Shannon have known each other practically all their lives. They grew up together and secretly crushed on each other but never did anything. Noah didn't want to betray Braxton and Shannon just thought Noah was never interested.

Then one night, during a storm, Noah checks on Shannon to make sure she's okay. During this night, they share a kiss which Noah immediately runs away from, leaving Shannon confused.

This puts a strain on their friendship but Noah is determined to fix it since they've been friends for years. However, it's getting more and more difficult for Noah to stay away from Shannon. The more he fights his attraction, the weaker his resolve becomes. Until all that's left is Shannon and his secrets......

Ahhhhhh, this one was so so good. I loved everything about Shannon and Noah. Their history together, their friendship, the chemistry and tension between them. It was all perfection.
