I love this series and I really loved this one which saw Fortune return to Sinful after resolving everything with the CIA and letting the whole town in on her real identity. Once again Fortune, Ida Belle and Gertie cause much mayhem and Carter’s blood pressure to raise as they investigate a murder to clear Ally’s name.

Now Fortune is an official resident of Sinful and about to get her PI license. She and Ida Belle and Gertie solve the murder of a cheating fisherman and find trouble along the way.

Another fun adventure in Sinful, LA with what have quickly become some of my favorite characters.

Better than the last

The last book was kinda stale, but necessary. She had to get that chapter of her life over with. This was funny and the mystery was decent. They were up to no good and I can't wait for more.

I enjoyed this one, but it sort of felt like a filler book. And I'm a little annoyed with Fortune and Carter's relationship. I'm still excited for the next one, though.

After my disappointment with [b:Change of Fortune|36002069|Change of Fortune (Miss Fortune Mystery, #11)|Jana Deleon|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1518678454s/36002069.jpg|57568808], I approached this one hesitantly but it ended up demonstrating all the humor and fun of the earlier books in the series. I forgot how much I love these characters. Fortune still gets a little emotionally overboard for my tastes and her relationship with Carter needs a new outlet because now that they're dating and communicating(ish), the tension kind of leaves the relationship.
But I love what she did to his truck.

Breezy, fun books - cozy mysteries for people who like action over knitting in their stories. And the audio version makes it more fun!

Love this series

I love this series and so will always read the latest instalment of what the terrific trio of ladies are up to but this one wasn’t one of the best, still enjoyable but no laugh out loud moments or gripping twists
