Fortune's first case as a civilian. I still get a few good laughs from this series, mostly at Gertie's expense. On to the next!

A fishing competition with lots of cheating… and murder. This was as much fun as all the other books in the series. I’m not giving 5 stars this time because there were too many mentions of mosquitoes.

Awesome
Best book yet. It's so much fun to watch Fortune adjust to civilian life. Also wonderful to see Walter and Alley' response to the truth. I only wish my kid's first communion had been as interesting.

This series is one of the best, the characters are all, well, characters! In this book Fortune has resigned from the CIA and is back in Sinful, no longer in hiding and can finally be herself. In every book there's always an escapade, usually starring Gertie, that's hysterical, this one involves skydiving, a defrocked nun and a crash landing onto a crypt. The mystery is well written, the humor is perfect and I can't to read the next.
