This is a perfect fit for readers who adore slow-burn, single guardian romances with a healthy dose of humor, swoony moments, and emotional depth, particularly those who enjoy stories about overcoming grief, finding confidence, and the joy of workplace romances.

I really liked this one! It’s similar to Ali Hazelwood theme wise, but the biggest thing was just the kind of respect and avoidance of weird tropes. I especially liked the immediate avoidance of the conflict of interest. Everything was cute from the girls, the friends, her family. And they both slowly moved past their personal problems which was nice. They are both just cute nerds and it’s great!
Moderate: Death, Emotional abuse, Sexual content, Terminal illness, Toxic relationship, and Death of parent
Minor: Body shaming and Child abuse

This was such a sweet romance for the entomological girlie pops!!! Finn and Millie were just adorable and I loved their nerdy romance. This book was fun, easy to read, and had me giggling and kicking my feet

This book was incredibly sweet. I think it could have been more plot-forward, but I was never not enjoying myself.
The Story: Give Me Butterflies is a workplace romance following Millie, an entomologist interviewing for a promotion at the museum, and Finn, the astronomy director on the interview panel. Millie and Finn run into each other constantly, starting out with a few not-so-positive interactions that quickly evolve into a fast friendship. When his nieces come to camp at the museum, Millie learns that Finn is struggling to parent them after the death of his sister. As they get closer, she struggles to stay 'just friends', not wanting to look like she was handed the promotion.
My Thoughts: The relationship between these two was so cute, and their banter had me giggling the whole way through.
They had a lot of common (in-laws, intimacy while having children, her ex-boyfriend, etc.) and a couple not-so-common (him being on her interview panel, etc.) relationship issues, and all were handled with maturity (if not immediately, rather quickly), making this a very relaxing read. It was very clear that this was a relationship between two adults, which honestly doesn't feel that common in the genre as a whole.
I think my only real complaint is that it felt like the timeline of the relationship was way too fast if you really think about it, especially with kids involved.
The Narration: I really enjoyed the narration and thought both narrators were well-suited. The dual narration really added to the experience.
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

I have discovered a new trope... hot, single uncle with custody of his nieces!! Sign me up!
I really enjoyed this book and the academic setting - it gives The Love Hypothesis but at a museum and not Kylo-Ray fanfic - buttt there are Star Wars references so be warned. I loved how much Finn and Millie cared for these little girls (his nieces). The activities they did (Friday night dinners etc.) and the relationship they form with Millie will have you smiling. While the romance did come on strong at first, it settled nicely. The dates Finn took Millie on had me dreaming...buying her books??? the DREAM.
It was such a lovely story and there was no third act break-up!

This was such a cute romance! I really enjoyed the MMC and how he was in therapy for managing grief. It made for great communication between the characters, and I love that. The twin nieces he was taking care of were so sweet and I l0ved how the FMC interacted with them. There were some heavier emotional themes that worked well within the story. All around, a really sweet romance with some comedic relief.
