i recommend skipping ch 19 entirely — ableist conjectures about knight’s mental state. also, it’s just not a good fit with the rest of the book and seems more like an article than chapter.
i’d be interested in some reflection on the author’s part about why he felt so compelled to continue pursuing knight.
otherwise, this is a quick and easy read, a beautiful and complex portrait. the way Finkel closes is perfect.

The book itself is great, and it's an interesting story, but I cannot get past how even after Knight told him several times to leave him alone after he left prison, he kept showing up and consistently trampling over his boundaries. Also the hard left turn into ableism in terms of Knight's potential autism???
