It was a bit of a slow start, but it really becomes a page turner after about a quarter of the book. Pretty good stuff what with the growth and culmination of a relationship we've been pinning over for a while now. It was a really good happy ending, too. :)

Lost

Somewhere along the way, the story got lost. The driving force that made first two books great was gone on this one. It would be unfair to rate the great first of this series especially if another book eventually follows.
Word to the wise. Skip this book. If Ms. Augustine ever writes a sequel with the same souls, by all means read a quick summary but, for the love of books, don't read this one.

This "conclusion" is the least satisfactory loose-end tie-up ever. It makes absolutely no sense. It's like everything was just thrown together. Like a rough draft with potential ideas all "train accidented" into something that will conclude the story line. No rhyme. No reason. It's like anything that could ever possibly ruin a story thrown into one miserable ending. This trilogy that could have been epic.

Seriously, don't read Fated, imagine your perfect ending and move on to a new author and a new series.

This review was written in early 2018.
Maybe the author find a way to fix this. By 2019 check other reviews up see if there is another book.
(And the Lars love story, Dead Ink, doesn't count.)

There. I've said my piece. If you read Fated, it isn't my fault.

I enjoyed this series, throughout the writing was well done and with the main characters Karma and Fate we see personal growth. DA has amazing world-building and character development. However, the secondary characters are not used to their potential and we are introduced to a new character for a chapter and then never mentioned again. Even though all the loose ends are tied up, the ending did not feel like a solid end. As though something else could happen. There is one more book set in the world may be the ending will be found there. Next up Dead Ink: A Karma World Romance

I want more!

I’m seriously frustrated with myself for being swayed by some of the reviews on this series and not reading it sooner, because it was exceptional! My only complaint is that it was too short. I wanted more verbal sparring between Karma and Fate, and I wanted his history with her to unfold slowly. I wanted more drama between Karma and the powers that be, I wanted to know why Knox was so interested in her. I’m a greedy little wench, because I wanted MORE!

I do have one word of caution for romance readers who like hot, smexy scenes. Although the chemistry and buildup between our H and h is off the charts awesome, the smexy times are decidedly vanilla. She doesn’t completely skip over them, but it’s a near miss and I was left a bit wanting.

This was a great story, with a fascinating world and characters who pulled me into their orbit so smoothly that I don’t want to transport back out of it. Ah well, just as quickly as I found a story that pulled me out of my book funk, I raced through it and now I have a major book hangover. I’ll definitely be reading more by this author.

I really enjoyed this book (and series.). I wasn’t expecting the ending and was glad for the way it turned out. I will be looking into getting the next set of books.

Everyone is right that this series starts strong and goes downhill fast. I slogged through this last book. Karma’s behavior is incredibly annoying. She goes from strong to “love”-dazzled idiot real quick. And how she allows Fate to treat her?! Hell no. Why can’t we have strong heroines in urban fantasy who aren’t always falling so quickly in love with unnaturally handsome, charismatic men who make all their bedroom dreams come true?

I am so annoyed at this book and the author!!
Firstly I feel like the series has just ended when it has so much more potential. I feel like I wanted to know more about Karma's previous lives and that has been stolen from me and we only got a few lines about them when they kept being hinted at. There was very limited action as opposed to the other books it was all about Karma and Fates romance and I have to say this was one of the most annoying romances that I have read, we hate each other but we love each other argh!!!
What was the point involving the Greek God Ares for at all it added nothing to the story whatsoever. There was no explanation about what Fate really was and I really wanted to know Paddy's real name.
The book just felt like the author didn't know how to finish off the series.
