I have loved all the other books, but this one not as much

I really enjoyed this book, I cannot wait for the next to see how Savannah handles what happened to her at the ending of this book!
adventurous dark mysterious fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Another fun book by Armstrong.

This started off promising with a murder, a cult and a bunch of witches and steadily got more boring building to a convoluted ending. Meh. Armstrong writes well and she’s written a staggering number of books. I’ve enjoyed others and will probably read her again.

Love that Savanah is finally coming into her own. This series is awesome

My husband got me this book for Christmas and I loved it. Now I just have to get the rest of the series. I loved Savannah’s character! She’s so feisty. A great plot that keeps you on your toes the whole time.

I should have seen the ending coming. since reading most of Armstrong's works, there is a real sense of - final act what the hell- or heres some things to think about- but tada- its nothing like you thought! or if you skipped books 3 and 5 and 7, well youre out of luck. Apart from that it is good. I liked Savannah as a narrator, i actually enjoyed not having to make sure no one was reading over my shoulder from crazy awesome explicit sex scenes. true elena and clay are not in this tale, soo it can be assumed a tamer read. I did like the bits and pieces coming together- till the main mystery was solved.
* spoilers*
Leah, I pretty much hate her as a character. Yeah, shes evil and the bad guy so youre supposed to hate her. Thats not why i dislike her. Her anger and violence seems- comicbook villan- the nemesis. But as to what she is rallying against I am at a loss.
Adam I like, but then I also liked Michael. When I first started reading this, I kept thinking. " so there are 3 guys, one savannah, and one of the 3 she has a life long crush- does that move on to somekind of obsession at some point, a human who is doing the same thing as she is and likes cars, and the other half demon who is helping out a friend. Who will be the romantic lead?" there really isnt one. and that is ok. we get smoldering kisses and silly first dates, hearts beating fast and eyes locking, but nothing is of real consequence.
I did miss Paige and all her goody-two-shoes ass kicking. I did miss Eve and her snark. But Savannah makes a good blend of the two, a quick surefire voice, but with some real heart to back it.Of all the books i think 3 and 5 were my least favorite, maybe also Hope's books, but i really did enjoy book 11. I think it may be because i took a break in reading the otherworld series.Anyway its stupid late here and I have a cold, so I'm going to finish this later-

3.5 stars

I figured out basically what was going on from the beginning (although not the twist part of it, since I'm not sure I've read the other books recently enough to remember who the character actually is.)

I enjoyed it, but it wasn't the best book I've read this year.
