Bought this book for my classroom and wanted to read it before adding it to my shelf. Overall it is very educational and has some great facts that I didn’t necessarily know. My students are very fascinated with Helen Keller so I’m wondering how many of them will pick this up and actually give it a read.

Wow
This woman did a lot of amazing things. A lot of good for the world. Her teacher never have up on her and gets a ton of credit for her success

Sad yet inspirational. She contracted a high fever (from meningitis?) just after she could walk and speak and nearly died but was left blind and deaf. Later a teacher, Anne/Annie Sullivan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_Sullivan) came from South Boston's Perkins Institute for the Deaf to teach Helen in Alabama at age 7. Fascinating life. Probably the most inspirational story there is.

A biography of Helen Keller from the "Who Was . . .?" series. I had read my little kids and excerpt of a memoir by Helen Keller, and even though my wife had taught them about her before, they claimed they remembered nothing about her, so I read them this short, kid-friendly biography.

My students love this series and I see why. It's just too simple for me and I rate on goodreads based on my own experience.
