I was not disappointed. While it wasn't as exciting as some of his other books, I liked the storyline. Read this if you're looking for a break from books that make you think.

3 and 1/2.
I think Dean's WRITING is wonderful.
I think Dean's CHARACTERS are great.
But this book's STORY left me with so many questions! And it seemed kind of anti-climatic...
I mean...this uber bad guy has basically a whole ARMY and this one family of three...four if you count the dog...are able to elude and ultimately capture him? And it was so EASY. I'm not sure I'm buying in. PLUS, we never find out why Waxx is the way he is...or where he came from...or why there's no real information out there...although I'm assuming that his psychological difficulties come from his severe mommy issues...Eh. I would have just liked more development.

Great book overall. Eloquent and beautiful writing. Thrilling plot. I loved everything about it, except for the ending. The ending was rushed and unfulfilling.

i just loved it, so original, kept me guessing and the usual koontz weirdness, just right! ;)

I liked the first 3/4 of the book. Great thriller, cat and mouse theme. But, it is like he just did not know how to end the book.. It ended abruptly, and has a really bizarre resolution. I would have given it higher stars if it had a stronger ending.

Dean Koontz's books are rapidly getting more addictive to me and Relentless is no exception. Fast paced, the characters barely pause for breath (and when they do, its to have very funny exchanges usually about the bizarre dog Lassie or the 'spooky' child Milo), and the sense of danger is ever present (and really quite awful). Loved it, it kept me in a constant state of suspense!
