I have been in a huge reading slump for the last few months but it's safe to say this book got me out of it! What You Deserve is all kinds of f*cked up and I loved every minute of it.

After the death of her twin sister, Gem's is left reeling. The only family member she ever truly cared for and cared about her is gone and she doesn't know how to cope- especially once she finds out she didn't really know her sister as well as she thought.

This book gets dark in a casual way (idk if that makes sense but thats how it seemed lol). These characters are all twisted in their own ways and that's just their norm. Franklin is definitely my favorite with his over protective and total psychotic tendencies. He is just what Gem needs as she loses herself in her sister's death. Riley is also great, and shows some hints of being messed up in his own way, but I really loved the innate darkness in Franklin. I also have a total girl crush on Gem. She is f*ucked up and doesn't care who knows it. She is honest while at the same time being manipulative to get what she wants.

Though I absolutely love the Ariel Kimber series, What You Deserve might just be my new favorite book by Mary Martel and I can't wait to read the next book in Gem's series!

Another great book by Mary Martel. I loved Dirty Crown and I loved this one too.

The secrets her sister kept, how they came out, the actions and consequences all were written beautifully 💙

The relationship was the best part of the book. The scenes were hot 🔥 I love the relationship of Franklin and Riley. It's hilarious.

Gem is such a sassy bitch. I love her. Riley is perfect and sweet for her and Franklin is perfect for her psycho side 🦋

The lap dance scene was freaking hilarious. I'm glad Gem got some closure. And Belinda deserved what happened to her.

I will definitely read more Mary Martel books especially if they're standalones.

This book was amazing!! I loved every minute! Some parts broke my heart and cry right along with Gem and others were so smokin hot, Damn I want a Franklin of my own!!! I love how the story started one way and then, nope just kidding we're gonna go this way. Gem is seriously my personality spirit animal, her snark, and humor and also how deeply she loves. That ending was perfect, I guess I'm sick f**k too, because it made me grin like Cheshire cat. It ended the way it needed to for sure, BUT I am holding out hope for more adventures with Gem, would love to see how the relationship and there loved evolve!!
