many thoughts, all of them conflicting. as an audiobook, the narrative style worked pretty well, but seeing examples of it written out uhhhhhhhhh.. sure is something

This book hit close to home in a very literal way—I’m from almost the exact same area this book is set in and wow! Painful and poignant—sometimes written a littly oddly but overall a book to read in one sitting.

I read it due to the Bowie reference. And it was really good, different from what I was expecting.

very enjoyable. this book has important messages that were displayed realistically. the writing style took a while to get used to, but i ended up liking it. also, the constant David Bowie references filled me with joy.

Liked it but didn't love it. The 1970's jargon was off-putting at times, with several phrases being used way too much.
