Bully Beatdown

I haven’t read a book about a Middle before, mostly variations of Littles and Daddy Kink and this was really fun! The concept of the Bully Boss and the victim employee really intrigued me and although I wished there was a little more of the bullying (guess I’m sadistic like that) the way it unfolded was excellent.

The characters are exceptionally four dimensional, they’re complex and multifaceted - sure Casey is loud and brash with anger issues, he’s the asshole boss who loses his shit way too easily, but he’s also caring to a fault, indulgent towards Angel and at his heart, a good man. Angel is the perfect contrast - he’s not the stereotypical simpering victim. He’s anxious and damaged but wilful and stubborn, then there’s the other side to him, the playful, nerdy Middle who is in desperate need of someone to look out for him.

I always enjoy Brightly’s novels and this one was no different, I absolutely adored every minute and I can’t wait for what they write next!
