The funniest manga I have ever read. I was howling with laughter at some of them (though Kimura is freaking creepy!).

Hauska, kuinka jo neljällä ruudulla saa kerrottua paljon tarinaa.

Yksi miesopettaja on todella puistattava.

The Azumanga Daioh manga is unusual in that it follows a four panel format much more typical to American comics than to the normal manga format. It's not what I expected, and I was suprised by how close the anime came to following exactly, and impressed by how they took a series of four panel comics and turned them into a more fluid story. Totally enjoyable, if unusual.

Azumanga Daioh is a classic comedy/slice of life series, and deserves all the fame it has. The manga is mostly composed of short 4-koma gags, and the format works really well.

Unfortunately, not every joke translates well from Japanese, so some are a miss, but there's a lot of good jokes that work and a couple visual jokes to compensate that. Some things *maybe* didn't age that well nowadays, but still, a really good manga.

A few of the characters are hard to tell apart, but the situations are amusing (and occasionally even laugh-out-loud funny), and the art is lively and engaging.

I'm not sure if I want to read more of the series. I'd prefer more Yotsuba&!, but I might stick with Azumanga for now.

Pretty goofy with slightly more childlike humor involved written in the four panel style. The teachers/adults in this series have a bit of their own raunchy jokes, so it provides a bit of a mixed bag for different readers. Each of the students have their own distinctive personality, all revolving around the new 10-year-old genius student Chiyo-chan.
