I wanted this to be a much stronger finish than it was. It was fine but there just didn't seem to be any actual risk in anything that Theo had to go through.

Splendid conclusion. Not one of my favorite series because The character interactions felt forced at times. Cress was probably my favorite character throughout the series and I only wished the author had a bit more about her. Her story started to take off during the 2nd and the first half of this book, but I felt at the end it was somewhat lackluster. Overall I enjoyed the read, just a bit too slow paced for me.

This is how you properly end a series, very well done!

A solid ending to the trilogy, but with many faults. The romantic subplot was lacking and felt almost pointless after the book was completed. While it was a strong finale with many action packed battles, it struggled to keep my interest as it felt predictable.

Søren, Art, and Heron remained as the best characters (in my opinion) and carried the story that Theo was unable to. My heart broke multiple times with the scenarios they faced!

Seeing Theo struggle to see Cress as the enemy was an unexpectedly relatable aspect. It was very much a toxic relationship that neither one of them could seem to quit.

Overall, an interesting trilogy worthy of the read!
