I really enjoyed the first two weeks of this book.. the last two I felt became repetitive and boring at times.. I read it with my friends.. we all enjoyed the first part.. and stopped talking about it towards the last week and a half.. I also felt like the author continuously tried to sale his other works through out the end of it.. which became annoying
Right now I’m at a cross road in my life and trying to grow more spiritually.. so it was a good time to read this book.. I also think it would of been a good to read whenI started my walk in Christ.. I’ve thought of a few things one way my whole walk.. and this book changed my perspective in a good way..
Although I didn’t agree with everything Warren writes.. it was still a good read I did get some things out of it.. I would definitely suggest reading the Bible more (obviously) but this book makes good points about some things..

I didn't finish it. I didn't like it. I felt like it missed the point. I thought that it was too self-centered instead of God centered and too focused on a method instead of the pure study of God's word. If you want to study about a purpose driven life, study the lives of Joseph, Daniel, Jesus, Paul, etc., and you will learn more than what Rick Warren has to say. I realize this review may be a little on the harsh side, but rest assured, I don't think that those faithful, committed Christians who love this book are heathens. I just don't think it is a book for me.

This also made a great part of my sculpture highlighting crappy advice and the assault of indoctrination of today

The Purpose Driven Life is one of those "once a year" books. The teaching is timeless and the exercises are refreshing. The more you read it, the more you'll be able to define your life's purpose and put steps in front of you to accomplish that purpose. I can't say enough good things about it. For anyone reading it for the first time, I encourage you to take your time, digest the material, and work through the exercises as Pastor Warren recommends.

I loved this book! I think everyone should read it.
I really enjoyed the way it was set up to have a daily reading that is manageable and tactical.
it was evident that the authors intent for this book was to be a helpful resource for everyone to live on purpose as we are called to do. I loved it

I got a copy of this book because I received many positive critics from a former priest and my circle of high school friends. I was excited at first reading it. But as I turned a leaf every day, there was a deteriorating enthusiasm and end up not reading the whole but only few chapters.
I do not like it because it is not multi-faceted. I am a christian, a Catholic to say, but the book did not convinced me on its evangilical positions. The subject is a very interesting to me but I thought the author never so convincing enough for me to absorb his arguments.

Despite my resistance to anything that is so widly popular, I did really like this book. It was very thought provoking and bite-sized morsels of things to think about, reflect upon, and possibly change in your life. One that I can reread and even use for book chats with friends.

Maybe it was my mistake to feel like this book would be inspiring but instead it just made me feel like I'm a bad Christian every chapter. Very judgemental and off putting to me. Not inspiring at all.
