Ya'll. Holy cow. I love Jen Hatmaker's books, and they've been lighthouses in being curious about my faith, and growing. I knew this book would be great, but I didn't know it'd make my list on top books every human should read. It is chock-full of ways to move through the world, questions to ask, wording for having difficult conversations, and gentle guidance for you to get curious about your life. At the end she has you make a list of 12 statements for your life, and I was overwhelmed with what came up for me. Jen gives us a gift with this book, and it's been amazing. Read it asap. And get a paper copy, because ya'll, half this book is highlighted and tabbed, and it's going to be my birthday gift to all my friends this year. This is a NEED for your bookshelf. If you like Rachel Hollis, Sarah Bessey, Rachel Held Evans, Glennon Doyle, fun lady stories, and deep grace theology this is the book for you. Keep taking up space friends. This book will help you show up fully right where you are at, and is a book needed for our times.

A few years ago, I was dissatisfied with who I had let myself become and decided to be myself with more than just my husband and my closest friends. It wasn't well received. I wish I had had this book when I was in my 20s to encourage me to do it sooner, and to always be myself. My current relationships with people are better and stronger, at least the important ones, and if I'd been honest with myself for the past 15 years, they all would be. This book is a life changer. I love it. Be unapologetically yourself. Be true to who you are. Don't let others tell you who you are or who you should be.

I truly loved this book
Jen Hatmaker is honest, thought provoking, and all about love. Love for Jesus, love for each other, kindness. I was inspired by her honesty and her writing. I highly recommend this book.

What an incredible book. I love how Jen is so deeply committed to encouraging women to embrace who they are and where they are at. You will be encouraged, challenged and filled with hope. You will chuckle, you might cry, you'll nod. your head and say "yes! that is what I've been feeling". I discovered areas that I know I need to work on, areas that put words to my feelings. Every book I've ever read by Jen Hatmaker has left me coming away encouraged. So, if you want permission to be who you know you were created to be, permission to ask questions, sometimes hard ones, permission to ask for help, to want connections, then this book is for you. I won't give it away, you'll just have to trust, and read it. I even challenge you, if you have been a critic, or heard things that have kept you from reading anything by Jen, to stop being afraid, and just read it. You don't ever have to agree with someone 100% to learn something from them. I love how she is so totally okay with people being where they are at in life. She doesn't expect them to think or be like her. They just get to be!

I love Jen Hatmaker and will always read anything she writes. Lots of beautiful and powerful parts in this book. Her vulnerability and approach to other people and God is inspiring.

I've been a fan of [a:Jen Hatmaker|274706|Jen Hatmaker|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1583425687p2/274706.jpg] for several years, but this book tops the charts.
If you feel like something is missing, or like you're unsettled in life/faith/body/insert another area of life here... this book could be exactly what you need. It's witty and clever. It has moments where you'll think to yourself, "Wait, is she inside my literal brain?"
There were parts of this book that, once I finished reading, lifted a weight I had been living with for a very long time. Finally, someone had given words to what I haven't been able to articulate. Have you ever had that sense of complete understanding before?
(Also, do you know the Enneagram? All my fellow nines, this book will be AMAZING affirmation for your feelings and sense of self and peace.)
Thank you, Jen (can I call you Jen? I feel like we're friends.), for your bravery. For your FIERCENESS. For giving me the opportunity to find my own FIRE to be truly and fully FREE.

I needed this book in my life.
Society is always telling us who we should be. Who do we want to be? Not all of us are meant to be boss babes. Not all of us called to homeschool...which I am learning during this pandemic. God bless it.
Jen so tenderly, yet boldly takes us through the following sections: who I am, what I need, what I want, what I believe, and how I connect. Some of these sections will be more tender than others depending on where you’re at.
There is so much truth packed into this that I couldn’t read it in one sitting. I needed to read a chapter and let it sink in.
I highly recommend this book!

This book is so good! I loved it. The chapter on body image needs to be read by everyone! I could have highlighted most of the book.

Jen blew it out of the water again with this book!! I feel so inspired and empowered to live my life boldly. As always, I laughed, I cried, and I fell more in love with what Jen is doing in our generation.

I finished Jen Hatmaker's newest book this morning and it has blown me away. The title is a bold one and the content delivers on that promise and then some. Each chapter has a different subject ranging from finding our voices, body image, examining our religious and humanitarian beliefs, all the way to setting boundaries and honest, clear communication. Jen shares her experiences in open, honest vulnerability that left me feeling like each chapter was a conversation with my closest friends. She says she wants others to learn from her doing an amazing job of walking the line between providing guidance and giving an overly simplified prescriptive form letter to solve all the problems. She doesn't tell anyone what or how to be, but rather shares ideas for how each reader can navigate their own journey of growth and maturity of self. I have taken so much from this book and know I will keep returning to it as I continue to work becoming a better, stronger whole woman.
