This was the least successful of these anthologies. I don't think it really covered the different Aquaman eras well at all. Also, no Peter David?

What can I say about this? It’s a collection of mini stories feature Aquaman and his supporting cast. Some were good, some were just ok. It’s kinda right down the middle. Overall, I’m still glad I read this.

I liked several of the stories well enough. I would give it 3.5

I've read quite a few anniversary specials now and this has to be the worst one to date for me. It wasn't that it included so many characters (I love all the characters of Aquaman), it was that many of the stories were completely lacking plot, feeling and more importantly relevance. Too many times the writers were trying to be "artsy" rather than just write a story about the characters. It's a shame because some of them had absolutely stunning artwork, 'The Rhine Maidens' particularly springs to mind, and zero plot.
There were a few good stories, otherwise I read this one with a big "WTF, was the editor thinking?".
