I read some other books by Shaina first and it referred to these characters. My curiosity is the worst of me. I just struggled and wanted to quit it.

The push pull of these characters is intense and the cliff hanger at the end had me gasp at 11pm since I couldn't put this book down. Kate, Rome & Bastian each play a role in the family and the tension that is there is crazy.  I can't wait to see what happens with the Russians and how everything shakes out, I kept thinking I knew what was coming and something completely different happened (which I loved).

Rome and Katie’s book.
Takes place in the same universe as the Stonewood Billionaires and Tarnished Empire series.
This was almost a little too much for me in how dark the story was and how rough their love was.

I quite enjoyed this mafia romance read, THIS is exactly how I expect mafia romances to be. I failed to do my research and didn’t realize until halfway through that this was going to be a duet. I’m just quite impatient this year, but we don’t have to wait long for the next book.

This was my first read by Shain Rose and I really like their writing. Even though I’ve been struggling with reading ebook formats, I was completely engaged. I would have had this finished in a day, but sleep always won out

hmmm

I couldn’t get into this book. I love the tropes for this book but for whatever reason I had so much trouble reading it. It is well written-I enjoy reading books by this author. It was almost a DNF. I will not be reading the conclusion-book 2.
