This book reminds me of "Anne of Green Gables", their positivity vibes, their personality, their freckles (this triggered me, and I was like, "oh Anne is that you??").

Pollyanna is a delightful and inspiring classic story for people of all ages. It teaches the reader to look at life positively, to be optimistic, and never give up. The "Glad" game is one of my favourite parts of this book. It is so easy to play! When you are confronted with a less-than-ideal situation, try to find one aspect of it that makes you glad or happy.

I've been playing this game without even realising it my entire life. For example, when my final exam results came out and I didn't get the grades I wanted, I told myself, "Be glad you don't get remediation." Even now, I am so close to graduation and will soon say "goodbye" to my friends. It's difficult for me because I despise the word "goodbye" as it implies "forever." And, I am not looking forward to it, the thought of losing my friends causes sorrow. Nonetheless, I believe there is something to be thankful for. For instance, I constantly tell myself, "Be glad for the opportunity to spend a year with your friends! It is preferable to nothing." or "Be glad for the memories you have created with your friends." When you approach it in that manner, you gain a greater appreciation for the little things and acknowledge that, despite the bad situation, there is always some positive aspect to it, something you can be glad about. That is how I feel, at least.

I recommend you all to read this book. Trust me, you will learn something out of it. And I even encourage you to play the "glad" game! Because why not?! It is simple and it makes your life better. Like Pollyanna said, "There is something about everything that you can be glad about if you keep hunting long enough to find it."

I love this book. I originally had given this wonderful story 3 stars, in my defense I read this as a child. I recently purchased a Nook, I had held out but finally broke down and bought myself one. I still read "real" books too. Anyhoo I read this beauty again because it is offered as a free book through google, I decided why not reread it. I am so glad that I did.

Pollyanna is such a special and wonderful character. She finds joy in so much in everything and even when she is in a desperate situation she sees the best in life, and manages to find something to be glad about. I think this is a lessen we could all learn from Pollyana, that even when the world seems at it's darkest there are still things to be glad about.

If you need a book that makes you smile read this beauty of a book.

I can still see the images from the movie during my childhood. The overall theme is exactly as I remember. I should start playing the glad game. Some of the topics did seem mature for what I imagined the target audience was but it just makes it a great read for all ages.

My thought
Eshte nje liber shume frymezues dhe i jashtezakonshem. Te mrekullon ne cdo faqe dhe cdo germe. Te le pa fjale se si nje vajze e vogel si Poliana arrin te ndyshoje nje qyteze te merzitshme vetem me pozitivitet. Mendoj se cdo kush e do nje Poliana dhe nje doze prej saj ne jete.
