The prose is really great. It evokes a lot of emotion and feeling, and made for a very sincere and compelling one sitting read. It's an awesome little novella. Characters finding their way through the bleak world was oddly satisfying. It is really all about the writing. I do think the story arcs and characters were well done, but if you aren't into the novella format this probably wouldn't change your mind. If you are looking for a novella to try, this is a good one to give a chance to. It's fast paced and easy to read, and not weird and out there like some novellas can be. Worth the time and fits a lot of good stuff into the short length. 

And What Can We Offer You Tonight is part revenge story and part character study of Jewel as she tries to make sense of her role within the House of Bicchieri. The writing style is very stream-of-conscious, which didn't work for me personally but was very well executed. This novella packs a gripping story into a short page count.
