Epic Finale to the Spoken Mage series. Follow Elena as she finally discovers the secrets of her origins and power, Lucas as he figures out his loyalties and his heart, and their friends as they work to expose and stop threats to the kingdom all while trying to graduate. The adventure and world-building continue in Voice of Life. Elena must use her new found knowledge of who she is to determine where her place in the world lies. Where Voice of Dominion was gripping due to its action, Voice of life is gripping due to its unveiled mysteries and culminating threats, relationships, and power. Voice of Life is the last book in Elena's part of the series and will be most enjoyed when read in order. This book has elements of finding one's place in the world, fate of the kingdom level stakes, academy life, a strong female main character, new and growing power, complex pressures (social, familial, political, economic, etc.), slow burn clean romance, creative power system, non-gory fight scenes, incredible world-building, mystery, and great friendships.

I feel like the romance isn’t well developed. I think the book would have flowed better without it, and I love romance. Maybe it’ll make more sense in the later books but it feels forced in this one.
The companion series is much better in my opinion

Enjoyed this 4th book in the Spoken Mage series! Finally, the on going war as well as Elena’s relationship with the Prince reach a tipping point. For so long, Lucas and Elena have been fighting their feelings especially since Lucas is now betrothed to another. But, not all is as it seems when he and Elena travel to his future bride’s kingdom. Seeking a way to end a centuries long war, Elena finds the clues to her past and magic, a traitor in their midst, and a potential future she didn’t think she could have. With fast-paced action, romance, and quite a few twists and turns, this book will definitely answer all the questions as well as keep you turning those pages or listening for just one more chapter!
The audiobook version of this book is fantastic! The narrator who narrates the entire series is back and does a fabulous job distinguishing each of the characters and really bringing the story to life. Her voice is perfect for this series.
Highly recommend this book as well as the entire series! So nice to have a clean fantasy that you can definitely recommend to your teens.

A good finish to the series. Almost all of our questions are answered by the end; there are some somewhat surprising turnarounds that keep things fresh. Its got suspense and, more importantly, some character development. Prince Milquetoast is slightly better than in previous books, which is a long overdue development. I'd like to see what happens in Ardann and Kallorway in 20 years or so with the changes we see by the end of the book.
