4/5 stars 401 pages - i’m surprised by how much i enjoyed this. like i was really sucked in. i couldn’t put it down for the first half of the book (and then life got in the way). i will say there are definitely things that could have been done better, explored more, many things that should have been better set up, and some things that were just not really believable or realistic… some of the writing also felt a little flat… but wow! i really like this magic world. and i fell for the characters… it’s definitely giving YA but. i’m enjoying myself :)

10/10 5 stars all the way! I totally get the hype!

This was soooo gooooood!!

I loved everything about it, the magic, the characters, the romance, it was all just so great!

I’m going to jump right into the second book!

I really enjoyed this so much, I’m so happy because I was nervous that I wouldn’t enjoy it as much as others seem to, since it’s so hyped but damn, this was so goooood! (So much so that I don’t even have words to describe how I’m feeling besides saying “it was soo gooooood” non-stop lol)

Loved Elspeth and Ravyn, their relationship was very beautiful and sweet and I hope it works out in the sequel otherwise I’m going to be soooo sad!!

The was a richly atmospheric book, in which you can envision the misty forested area of Blunder. I loved the dark nature to it and cannot wait to continue the story with the second novel. I need to know what becomes of Elspeth and the Nightmare.
