I didn't realize that there were so many Cornish books in this series when I requested A Special Cornish Christmas but now I'm excited to read the others. This book is like a British Hallmark movie--it's cozy and charming. If you want a light Christmas read this is a very fun one to check out.

Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

A lovely, festive feel good read which is perfect for the run up to Christmas. It’s filled with Christmas spirit and it’s hard not to enjoy.

With Bo and her ghosts of Christmas past, she has a lot to overcome to enjoy the next Christmas. A visit to a fortune teller predicts she will be with the love of her life for Christmas. Will she? The plot thickens when her friend, Angel, also gets the same prediction along with the resident Norwegian hunk who recently moved to the quaint, cosy little town. Will it come true for them?

This book has plenty of heartwarming, feel good vibes and the core of friendship runs deep throughout the plot. It was so nice to see Angel and Bo be there for each other in their times of need, and I loved getting stuck into this story.

A fab, festive, fun Christmas book, with dancing, a love of vintage vinyls and Thor the cat. Who I have to mention, was awesome.

Thank you to the author and publishers via NetGalley for this audiobook in return for my honest thoughts and review.

This is a book that will have you singing along and wanting to strut your stuff to some classic Christmas rock and roll tunes, and then spend time at Christmas craft fairs stocking up on all of the handmade goodies - or at least that’s how it made me feel anyway!

It’s fair to say, as Bo, Angel and Ran were at the fair waiting to see Madame Odette I was sharing their sceptical views. I’m not the biggest fan of fortune tellers etc and definitely think that their predictions are often so vague that you can apply them to an action or feeling - but that’s enough about me!

All of the characters are just so lovely, I really felt for Angel going through what she did, but the way she was able to turn to her sewing as almost a form of therapy made me want to get my machine out of the cupboard. The things she made sounded exquisite and there’s something extra special about selecting a few items from your home that you know someone has spent hours working on. Homemade items just have that extra special touch and I’d love to be able to make even something little.

Bo is such a good friend to Angel, but her vibrancy stands out of the pages, you could see her smiling reflecting after she’d danced on stage and could just tell that the music poured straight through her. I was fully engaged in her friendship with Ran and so hoped that they’d be able to take that step and progress into something more, although you can see that they both need to move on from their pasts first.

There was a subtle Christmas hint throughout the whole book which made me wish for colder weather, I can’t wait to wrap up warm and soak up the festive activities. Phillipa has written such a lovely cosy book and I can’t wait to read even more by her in the coming months.

Another wonderful book by Phillippa Ashley. I love a festive book because I love Christmas so much and this one does not disappoint. Its heartwarming and enticing and I love the characters. Especially Bo and Angel. They're such good friends and I can relate to them as a friendship (like I have with my bestie) but also as independent businesses, I try and support as many independent business throughout the year as I can bit especially at Christmas.

I also make things too so I can relate to Angel wanting to do her own crafty business. I love the crafts and romance aspects of this book and it has Christmas and food as themes throughout, what more could a, romantic foodie who loves crafts, want.

My favourite moment was the situation between Angel and Kelvin, that made me want to shout for joy and punch the air.

I enjoyed this book! It’s my first time reading a book by Phillipa Ashley. I haven’t read the time I want a nice easy book to get myself back into the swing of things. Cosy, Christmassy, love story. Predictable outcomes, but aren’t all romances?! I would definitely read another book form this series as it’s such easy reading that it easily allows you to escape.
