Not great. Hard to follow at first if you don't read the novella that has some plot in between the last book and this one.

Seems like Davidson is back on track with this one. I was starting to lose faith in her characters. Unreturnable and Unappreciated were a little on the weak side.

Another quirky episode in Queen Betsy's funny life. It started with a true red herring: the zombie was not a major plotline. Wait, was there a plotline?
The plot might have been: how does Betsy get the birthday party she wants while still learning that manipulation is not her strongest skill? The resolution didn't include her actually learning that lesson, so Im sure it will be revisited.

Fun and light...this book in the series made me laugh quite a bit. The more Queen Betsy books I read the more I like her.

I didn't enjoy this entry in the series as much as the earlier ones. It was still very readable, but not nearly as funny. Betsy faces a lot of moral dilemmas that need a more serious approach. She's growing as a character which I do like seeing. More recurring characters appear besides Betsy's BFF, Jessica, who help expand Betsy's horizons.

My favorite of the series so far! So funny, fast and fresh this series has me reeling with excitement every chapter. Moving on to book 6 which is already nestled in my arms.

Totally cheesy and not the finest quality writing, but it was funny. Reminded me of Buffy, which I miss terribly.

While this book still showcased Betsy’s sass, it didn’t carry the same lighthearted feeling. I felt like it lacked a solid plot line. The main story ark felt like it should have been a subplot and not the main focus. Betsy seemed to take things a little more seriously, but not a whole lot. While I love the characters in this book, I just can’t give it five hearts.

Betsy has always been fun to read. Her sarcasm alone is enough to make me love her. She did spend a little too much time whining about life than trying to make the best of it though. With this book it feels like she took a step toward rectifying that. The other characters seemed to make little to no progress forward though, which was a little sad, but not a huge deal. There is still a lot of books that come after this, so there is plenty of room for more improvements.
