It was sweet, but I won’t remember it tomorrow. The big secret reveal felt underwhelming because it was resolved within a week, making it seem like nothing really happened. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I’m going to try Emma and Hudson’s story next—Emma seemed like a more interesting character than the current FMC.

I couldn't wait to read this once I found out Lyra Parish had this book coming. I love a good holiday romance. I am here for this series! I'm already hooked!! I want to go visit Merryville especially during December. My Christmas loving self would be in Christmas heaven. Bonus this town is Christmas 24/365. I think I would want to move there honestly. If they have such yummy guys like Jake then I'm packing my bags now! I felt for Claire because her vacation is not going off as planned. It's one thing after another now a snowstorm has forced her to bunk in with Jake and his kitty Tinsel. Can I just say Jake already had me when he has a cat, but one named after something Christmasy. Claire is in for the surprise of her life getting to experience everything Merryville has to offer. Though she is keeping her true identity a secret which we know never works out well for the characters. This book had me from the first page and is one you are sad to see end. It's such a fun read that will get you into the holiday spirit for sure. I really can't wait for the next book in the series especially finding out the tropes. Squee!!

What a sweet and spicy, opposites attract romance! A Very Merry Mistake has healing, love, and Christmas magic.
I always love when opposites find love and happiness together! Jake and Claire couldn't be more opposite but they work so well together. I loved watching Jake open back up after dealing with a horrible ex. And watching Claire finally be able to be her true self? Priceless. These two made my heart so happy! Now there is a third act breakup, but it totally made sense with the story. And how they come back together was beautiful perfection.
Thank you Hambright PR for the copy!

Really enjoyed this book! Great Christmas read. Enjoyed that we got to see a bit more of the resolution than just an epilogue. Excited to continue the series!
