This was a good book but really could have been cut in half. She seemed to drag the story out a lot and added things that didn't need to be added. I love her writing and story lines, I just think this should have been edited and cut down a lot in the end.

Loved this book! It caught my attention from the very first page and I couldn't read it fast enough. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Really liked this book. Definitely some spots where the monologues got a little long, but overall a good book. Absolutely going to keep reading the series.

Bonded is listed as the Prequel to The Mating, which is listed a the Lycan Law Series, so if I figured this right, Bonded should be the first in the Lycan Law Series.
For the first in a series, it introduced us to the Lycan culture and the groups and exteremists very nicely. It gave us brief glimispes into normal life, but mostly focused on a law enforcement agency that grew out of a need many, many years in the past, and had grew and developed as the times had changed. Again, as with in a number of paranormal, or werewolfe and vampire novels, we find the term "rogue" being flung around. It's used to describe the uncontrollable or thestrongest, even those with the highest sense of honor and duty and it is made to make them feel on the edge of insanity.
Reno is an Enforcer, one of those on the edge of rogue, that takes his job seriously, maybe a little too seriously, but then again that is what makes you like him so much. He truely cares about what he is doing and he wants to make a difference, even if he hides it in a gruff exterior.
Brandi is a student at the academy, trying her best to do everything in her power to get out of normal pack life and build a career for herself, to be something more, to make a difference. A chance meeting with Reno, who is visiting the academy as an instructor alters her life in an instant and leads them both on one wild ride!
I haven't read many werewolf books, but I really liked this, it mirrored ideas in real life that we can all relate to in one way or another and it makes it easy to feel for the people in the book, to route for some, to dispise others, to want one faction to secude and others to fail, and it really, if you listen and take of the blinders of the the fiction tells a story that all need to listen to, but many will never see that, they will only see the story on the surface and that will be enough for them. Great book!!

This series is absolutely free and amazingly written. This author has a talent for writing characters and their world so vividly that the reader feels like they are a part of it. I totally recommend this book! Enjoy!

I liked it, only because I enjoy the way the author writes. But really the novel could have been 100 - 200 pages, it was dragged out. I really hate how it happen over 3 years or so, really could have been a year, would have been more believable. Also this author tends to have too many characters and links this book to the other three, could just be left well enough alone.

This was my second read by Nicky Charles, and have to say my first one, Mated, was much better. This story seemed to drag on and on, with a lot of unnecessary writing. The characters over analyzed EVERYTHING! That being said, i did finish it, and it was overall a good story.

First, I can't believe I got this book for free!?! Next, I like the quick background at the start on the werewolves and the Purist.
This book is very well thought out with a great plot line, that keeps you wanting more. I like that the characters where not perfect and they had depth. Everytime I thought I could guess what was going to happen next (like a harlequin novel) the book took a different twist and I couldn't put it down! I intended to read this during the week at work, but I finished it during the weekend! Now I need to go back and read the other books!
