This volume focused on Aqua during her time in the Realm of Darkness. It follows most of the events of the 0.2 game. King Mickey explains to Riku and Kairi about the last time he ran into Aqua. Shiro's artwork beautifully displays all of the suffering Aqua endured while being trapped in that world. Her bond with Terra and Ventus is what keeps her fighting. Now it's up to Riku and King Mickey to rescue her.

A really solid adaptation… of Fragmentary Passage. Which is an interesting choice, but also narratively necessary for Aqua’s story in the greater KH3 story. On the whole though, this was a really good adaptation of that story and basically encompasses the majority of the book. The passing of this adaptation as a whole has been kind of refreshing compared to some of the other entries, but we’ll see if that remains the case.
