I do not know what is wrong between me and Julia London, but I always find her plots fascinating but in the end her stories sooo boring. Maybe if they were just a little bit shorter.....

No so cosa ci sia che non va tra me e Julia London, ma io trovo sempre le sue trame affascinanti ma alla fine le sue storie cosí noiose. Magari se durassero giusto un po' meno....

THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND HARLEQUIN FOR THE PREVIEW!

GREAT! I love Julia London, some of the best historical romance out there!

This was pretty forgettable, redeemed only by Rosalyn Landon’s excellent narration.

The 1st and last 10% of this novel were interesting and saved this from being 2-stars. The middle was pretty basic. If you like detailed steamy scenes you may like this, but the story itself didn't reach it's potential.

OMG really? I only read 17% through the book before deciding I couldn't read anymore. Honor was selfish, thoughtless, impetuous, and inconsiderate. Yes, there's the possibility that she may redeem herself, but given how willfully she breaks the mores of the time period WITHOUT PENALTY, it seems unlikely. When the hero and her sister called her on her shenanigans but went along with it anyway, it was time to save myself from the impending headache.

My first Julia London and I really loved it, especially because the heroine is not the usual good and placid character but in her own words a swashbuckler. I can’t wait to read the next in the series

Strong heroine with a hero who is not accepted by the ton. Very enjoyable, I will read the rest of the serie.
