I always read a book to the end. I didn't read this one out. In the first 30 pages the "hero"has already threatened several times to rape the woman who he captured. I don't care that this has to do with a curse he claims she put upon him. There is no excuse for threatening with rape. This book belongs in the trash.
Minor: Rape

3 stars. The book was good. I found it at a library book fair for 50ยข. I am glad that I didn't pay full price. How could someone believe that they had been cursed for three years and then act they way he did. Most of the characters weren't written well I just didn't understand their points of view. I realize that this was written for the 1700 era but some things didn't mash well. It was ok. Just not great.

I think this is a great ending to a roller coaster book series. I love Lachlan as soon as he came into book two with Angus. Catherine was perfect for him and the twist in book was great kept u on ur toes. This book also had a epilogue 10yrs in furture with I thought finished book well.

Great finale to a wonderful trilogy. Lord of War, Lachlan, has been cursed by a witch and has tried to find her over the past year. What his finds is the witch posing as Lady Catherine. Or is she posing? As Lachlan and Catherine try to discover who she really is, they start a journey that opens Lachlan to love and Catherine to her past. Great read, great chemistry, and I'm sorry to see these characters go.

Excellent beginning and middle, totally lost it in the end... I really liked both main characters too, it's just the HEA was too short, too easy and kinda boring... Meh

Why do these books start out so good and exciting and the nose-dive to mediocrity within the first couple chapters, never to improve.
I was really hoping this would be the story of the mom from the previous book. Well it had the right love interest, but nope not the mom. It was another 20-something. Though at least she's not an untouched virgin.
The mystery of the greater political sphere was completely uninteresting, though the book did a decent job of misleading the reader on some secrets.
