Don’t let the title fool you if you’re not into virgins, I usually steer clear of virgin’s myself because it just doesn’t seem real.
But wow Lauren sure smashes any preconceived notions that a virgin can’t know their own body. I loved that about Nadia. She isn’t a virgin by chance it was by choice if the men she was with couldn’t do more than talk about themselves then why should she give that part of herself.
This book is lust filled, steamy, fire, and smoken’ hot. Crosby and Nadia light your ears on fire no joke.
It is a brother’s friend to lovers but it is also a friends to lovers because Crosby and Nadia were friends too. I just took a little longer for them to see the spark that others saw a long time ago.
The way this book plays out I swear it’s like old school Lauren I loved it and I want more. The extras at the end are going to blow your mind. More please!
I am going to get all gushy here with the narrators, these two are my favorite separate and together they make listening so fun.
Erin and Teddy are fabulous!

Lauren always brings the perfect amount of sweet & heat to her stories. You can’t help but fall in love with these characters. I enjoyed Crosby and Nadia’s flirty banter and conversations and this story just made my heart happy. I loved how much of a boss lady Nadia was and Crosby was so swoony. I loved the narration from Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon they are a great pair and they really brought Nadia and Crosby to life. Another great book from Lauren.

The story had potential but it was just mediocre and at times, kinda cringe. All in all, everything felt rushed especially the relationship.

Thank you to Lauren Blakely and her team for the advance reader copy of The Virgin Rule Book, the first story in the Rules of Love series.
The latest release from Lauren combines some of my fave tropes. It is a sports romance, it is friends-to-lovers, it is her brother’s best friend, and it is a fake relationship tale. So much fun wrapped up into one satisfying story.
I am a member of Lauren Blakely’s review team, but I stand by my reviews remaining honest and true.

Great friends to lovers story
A Lauren Blakely friends to lovers book is always so comforting. She does such a great job building the tension and transitioning the couple to more. Nadia and Crosby were no exception. Their story is fabulous and I just feel all warm and fuzzy after reading their story!

Nadia and Crosby have been friends for years, Crosby is also best friends with Nadia’s brother. Crosby needs a plus one for Nadia’s brother wedding, so why don’t they just go together? They both have feelings for each other, but never really took it any further….at least until the wedding.
There is plenty of steam, laughs and emotions mixed in throughout this story. I love that Nadia is a strong woman, working hard with the NFL she inherited from her father and she isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. Crosby, even though he is a professional baseball player, doesn’t come across as arrogant, but will make you swoon.
I loved that both these characters were successful in their careers and neither of them let that cause any issues with their relationship, other than the distance can be a pain. I loved the chemistry between Nadia and Crosby. Why not enter into a friends with benefits type of relationship? No strings, no mess and no complications, especially for two people who aren’t looking for anything right now. I loved seeing their connection and their feelings grow the more time they spend together and the more they get to know each other.
If you’re looking for a brother’s best friend, friends with benefits turned into more, sports romance this is one to check out.

5 romance stars. Very low angst. I enjoyed the characters being willing to say how they felt.

The Virgin Rule Book is a fun and entertaining friends to lovers romance that will leave you with a huge smile on your face.
Nadia is moving her family's football team back to San Francisco where her father wanted to take them before he passed away. When Crosby asks Nadia to be his "plus one" to her brother's wedding, she agrees because she does not have time to find a date. After having a great time together at the wedding, they agree to be each other's "plus one" to all of the functions they need to go to over the next two weeks. Pretty soon Crosby and Nadia realize that their relationship is more than just friendship.
Crosby and Nadia have amazing friendship and chemistry that continually grows all throughout the story. There is lots of laughter, banter and flirting between them that is addictive and captivating. Nadia is a strong and independent woman and Crosby is so supportive of her passion. He has become one of my favourites. The side characters and the little teasers throughout the story of what is to come from this series have me excited. I highly recommend this book.
Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon did another great job bringing this story and characters to life.

I love a virgin Trope... No matter what anyone says... Lol And I especially appreciate a woman whose her own boss doing the damn thang... Nadia is trying to live her best life. Crosby is a sweet funny man who had some bad relationships experiences..
With Nadia and Crosby living in the same city now and both taking a break from dating things can only heat up.
My only problem with this book is at times I found the banter between Crosby and Nadia trying too hard to be witty and funny.
And the wedding scenes dragged on waaayyy to long.
The sex scenes were fire! ...High five to that...
