It felt like half a book! More of a set up book, I'm assuming for the next in the series. Good for the development of the characters but on its own not fantastic.

took me a while to finish because I took a break. realised I hadta stop a bit bc I only love reading from will's perspective and merely tolerate others' lol
the book was fun though! really really like how this author tackles and handles addiction befitting of a younger audience. also really loved his portrayal of the "resilient princess" character, modern adaptations leave much to be desired compared to evanlyn

The series is finally picking up momentum, though he still has an odd tendency to switch POV mid-paragraph. Not the deepest bucket in the closet, but it's turning out to be a nice fast fun read.
