Ridiculously flourished and slow. I read a beautiful and really enjoyable zine called "How Words Work" that suggested this book as further reading. I actually could not bear to get past the inherent racism and petty intellectualism of this book though. I did wonder why it had to be pulled from the basement of our local library and I reckon the strong racism is part of why. It's not just dated badly but poorly written. I'd rather not learn from these writers as I don't respect the writing.
