This was a fun book! Some of the things were silly, some were laugh out loud funny but all were worth reading. Great reminder to enjoy the little things in life.

Lots of the things in this book are fantastically awesome things. Some, not so much. Still, it's good for a laugh.

Based on the award-winning 10-million-plus-hit blog 1000 Awesome Things, The Book of Awesome is an international bestselling high five for humanity and a big celebration of life's little moments.

Sometimes it's easy to forget the things that make us smile. With a 24/7 news cycle reporting that the polar ice caps are melting, hurricanes are swirling in the seas, wars are heating up around the world, and the job market is in a deep freeze, it's tempting to feel that the world is falling apart. But awesome things are all around us, like:

* Popping Bubble Wrap
* Wearing underwear just out of the dryer
* Fixing electronics by smacking them
* Getting called up to the dinner buffet first at a wedding
* Watching The Price Is Right when you're home sick
* Hitting a bunch of green lights in a row
* Waking up and realizing it's Saturday

The Book of Awesome reminds us that the best things in life are free (yes, your grandma was right). With laugh-out-loud observations from award-winning comedy writer Neil Pasricha, The Book of Awesome is filled with smile-inducing moments on every page that make you feel like a kid looking at the world for the first time. Read it and you'll remember all the things there are to feel good about.

There were some moments in the book that were nice and made me smile, but it wasn’t amazing, or awesome, just neutral.

Well I wouldn't term this book "Awesome". I found the author didn't need all the explanation of why something is awesome. A quick paragraph and a picture might have made this book more enjoyable than it was. I found after awhile I was just looking at the titles and moving on. Yes, some titles actually brought images to mind which was fun but overall the book was ok.

This book just made me feel good and say "Ahhh" at many of the entries. one of my favorites is when you are having trouble sleeping simply turn over the pillow - "it's flat when you are sagging, fresh when you are stale and cold when you're hot..."

Some of the entries are funnier than others, but overall the book is really good. I liked finding things that both the author and I think are awesome, while also keeping a mental list of all the other things that make me laugh/smile or are just plain awesome.
