Just a nice little art book, with a bunch of nice pieces from well-known Tolkien artists alongside sections of text that inspired each piece. Nothing more, nothing less, but I remember flipping through this book so many times in my childhood. It's fun coming back, having now read more or less all the books this references, and compare these childhood images to what I have in my head. 

This was a lovely complication of Tolkien inspired art paired with quotes, followed by author bios. Of course, some art was more to my taste than others, however I also thought the quality of some of the prints were better than others as some are pretty fuzzy and others are sharp. Also, I wish there was more thought put into the arrangement. It would've been nice to have everything chronologically or grouped by artist.
