I usually love the D.D. Warren series but this one just didn't do it for me. Lost interest and skipped to the end. Could have been same old-same old or maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind...

Quick mystery read. Vaguely formulaic, but a good beach book. Characters surprisingly well-developed.

not as good as her later books, but still a good read.

I really liked Lisa Gardner's other series and thought I would give this one a try. It does not disappoint. Great book. It doesn't focus as much on D.D. Warren, but she is at least introduced and maybe a little groundwork set for her character. Still, a solid read. And a great option for fans of Lisa Gardner.

I did not think I was going to like this book but became engaged about 100 pages in. The main protagonist (Bobby) kept making poor choices and some of the events were unbelievable, but the uncertainity of where this story was going kept me turning the pages.

There are multiple stories around multiple characters and trying to figure out who was doing what was quite suspenseful. And the "bad guy" (or should I say the "worst guy") was just downright frightening.

This one just didn’t do it for me. I didn’t like any of the main characters and just couldn’t get into the story. It jumped around too much and a lot of the twists felt predictable. The main huge twist was a surprise, but they just kind of drop it and then leave it. There could’ve been some expanding done there. Honestly I forced myself to finish it so I could fully justify giving it a poor review.
