Another book that takes me back to the regency era, where situations are different from the one presented in my loved romances and one of the main character is used to depict how thing really were at that time, but still, even with a lot of disgusting information ;) it is a good reading and Devlin and Hero are two of my favorite couples ever.

These Sebastian St. Cyr mysteries are so good! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Sebastian is tasked with finding the real killer when his cousin is accused of murder.

Sebastian’s cousin, Stephanie, married this handsome but unsettling nobleman against Sebastian’s wishes. Sebastian could never prove Ashworth did anything untoward, but he had strong suspicions. Stephanie was abandoned by Ashworth while pregnant, and evidence is found at the scene of his murder suggesting the killer is a woman.

Oh, I was completely lost in Who Slays the Wicked. This story hitting so close to home for Sebastian just connected it to me all the more. Stephanie is extremely sympathetic here and I wanted the real killer to be found.

I don’t really want to say too much more, but I’ll close with his. Sebastian has a brilliant analytical mind, and these books get you right inside. They make you think the way he does, and it’s so engrossing. The writing is completely transportive and brilliant. If you are a fan of historical mysteries, this is hands-down one of the best series I’ve tried. Jonetta was right!

I received a complimentary copy of each. All opinions are my own.

Sebastian St. Cyr is called in to investigate a murder. The murder of a man that very few liked and most are happy that he is dead. Of course, that leads to many suspects, many false leads, and a lot of clues that seem to lead to dead ends. I tried to follow the clues and come up with the who done it before I reached the end, I had so many guesses, but I was so wrong. I was so far off the right path. I enjoyed every wrong turn that I took.

C.S Harris knows exactly how to write a historical mystery that pulls the reader in, leads them through history, and takes them on a tour of the city. The settings come to life, the people become real, and the story is not just something to read it is something that you cannot put down. I have become a fan of the Sebastian St. Cyr series after only reading this one and the one prior to this.

Just when I thought I had it all figured out, Harris throws in a twist.

Fun read, especially if you like mysteries and early 19th century England. I enjoyed the little details of London peppered in the chapters.

I am so glad I picked this off the library shelf 2 weeks ago.

This one's about his brother-in-law finally being killed. For some reason I didn't really get into it, the story just seemed pretty standard. Not up to the usual standards.

Excellent period mystery. this is a book in a series. I have not read any other in the series. I was not completely lost but it is probably a good idea to start at the beginning for character development.
